WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Classic release date
Napisane: 07 cze 2022, 7:54Blizzard this week announced plans to continue the World of Warcraft Classic-era content and transition into Wrath of the Lich King after Burning Crusade Classic ends.
While there is still a fair amount of TBC Classic content yet to be released, the developers felt that now is the perfect time to confirm plans for Northrend. The announcement comes at the same time as the details of Blizzard's latest World of Warcraft expansion pack, Dragonflight, were revealed.
Blizzard hasn't announced an exact release date for Wrath of the Lich King Classic yet, but the trailer for the legacy content expansion suggests it will be released sometime this year.
TBC was originally released in January 2007 and WotLK in November 2008, almost two years later. For comparison, TBC Classic was released in June 2021. This means that no matter when WotLK Classic releases this year, it will be faster than when it was originally released.
This short span of time for Classic-era content isn't particularly surprising, however. As Blizzard has noted since starting work on the legacy servers, modern players are navigating through game content much more quickly than they did when they started, thanks to the wealth of information at their disposal today.
Blizzard has not yet released any information about the date of the WotLK Classic gold beta test. However, players can opt-in to the beta by visiting the game's website and logging into their Battle.net account.
