Wrath of the Lich King Classic might be coming
Napisane: 07 cze 2022, 8:07No one can deny that the most popular expansion pack for World of Warcraft is Wrath of the Lich King, and it could be released for the Classic server very soon.
As first spotted by MMO champion, Burning Crusade Classic patch 2.5.4 contains some hints that a classic version of Wrath of the Lich King may be in development. A folder called "Interface-Wrath" contains several files related to fan-favorite expansions, including the Death Knight support in the character creation menu. The login screen for Wrath of the Lich King even has a blue button.
Wrath of the Lich King is the pinnacle of World of Warcraft. In October 2010, when MMORPGs were still unchallenged, Blizzard announced that there were over 12 million active users.
Burning crusade Classic will continue to receive content updates throughout the year, such as the Wrath of the Sunwell patch and the Gods of Zulman patch. So if Wrath of the Lich King Classic gold does come out, we probably won't see it until late 2022 or early 2023. Blizzard won't be hosting BlizzCon this year, and there's no doubt that Microsoft's recent acquisition could change the schedule. So there's no telling when Blizzard will release Wrath of the Lich King Classic, especially given the ongoing turmoil at the company.
