The next Muppets movie is set to release on the 23rd of November. To commemorate the event, adidas has redesigned one of their most iconic silhouettes in the form of the Adidas Superstar Women “Kermit the Frog”. Designed with an all-green upper, yellow accents, as well as a collar crown that matches the jagged collar of the Kermit himself, this pair is definitely one of the most unique redesigns ever completed by adidas Originals.
The Adidas Superstar Men, originally introduced in 1969, is one of the first low-top basketball shoes to ever see production. Today, this shell-toed icon has begun surfacing at select retailers in a simple yet stunning colorway. White leather is used as the base material, while red leather accents can be seen on the three-stripe logo, heel tab and tongue branding. Although this model has long passed its prime as a “performance” sneaker, the Adidas Superstar Cheap is still one of the most easily recognizable silhouettes on the market.
NIGO adds another edition of the Adidas Superstar Sale to the model’s 2021 celebration as part of his ongoing collaboration with adidas Originals. The NIGO x adidas Originals Superstar 80s “Pioneer” features an all-over print dubbed the ‘Grand Slam’ design by NIGO and inspired by his love of sportswear and Americana. The print is on a grey leather base with white accents, packed with adidas logos and Superstars.
